I would very much doubt it. Fair volume of air going through it plus its a long way from the turbo really. Tops id say would be 80ish. |

Would of thought that would be fine. End of the day just see what happens but that side of the plenum shouldnt get anywhere near 100degrees.

I had mine welded as I had never heard of this liquid weld stuff, is it any good?

Ive had mine TIG'd aswell. Suppose if the pipe is a tight fit then it shouldnt be a problem as they will be most of the strength, the reason i didnt was because i wanted mine running at 45degrees to the slope of the plenum, i.e. horizontal to prevent things hitting the bonnet etc. Liquid weld wouldnt of done the job as the fit wasnt perfect of very tight, welding was the only option. |

The air in the plenum can get to about 130 degrees depending on the boost you run.....

yes that right it will get hotter than 100. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I would have said it would get hotter than 100 degress when you turn the engine off, only a few inches below the plenum your turbo sits which get into hundreds of degress Edited by Jimster on 22nd May, 2004. On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
