I'm going to start off by saying that I don't own a mini and probably never will, but loads of mates do - and I go on the L2B amd MITP more or less every year!
...and a short time to get there!!!! |

Only kiddin pal, a friend had an mx5 and after you get over the stigma they are really good cars. From what i remember that thing handled the nuts and the birds loved it

hi and welcome, i owned an MX5 for a few years, it was a great car, but only after i had changed all the engine, suspension and brake parts... much the same as my mini! Edited by MarkGTT on 25th Mar, 2007. |

Get a mini mate! I would chose my mini over my mates MX any day. All of the cars i have ever owned are minis :)

I'll be easy to spot at MITP... the only mx5 there! although i hear its at Santa Pod this year :( L2B should be good this year, but I still need to sort out my travel arrangements [gives minimadshef a nudge to get his finger out and finish that damn turbo ]

In that case sell the MX5 (leave the village people CD in the CD player) and get a mini! 
Besides a combe-over doesn't fool anyone!
Minis are far more fun, as it is what it is, not a wannabe sports car. Only pissing about, had to get that off my chest....Welcome to TM.....

I have to say that I always had the hairdresser/poofter image about MX5's in my head until I had a go in one, I must say I was very impressed (ask Neil8p!) and would even consider buying one if I didn't think I'd look a poofter/hairdresser driving one about.....

In Oz you can get a nice turbo conversion and you can also RX7ise your MX5 with the 13B turbo and running gear. Someone also marketed a blown Lexus quad cam V8 Version! On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:
