Anyone know any good machine shops in NE? Round newcastle or durham?

Im almost ready to have my block acid dipped/ bored/skimmed/ etc etc and dont want to pay daft postage to send it off elsewhere.

Any ideas?

a LIL fishing village on the coast - Newcastle Upon Tyne

Crawford Reed in North shields (just down from the police station) machined fly wheels for me and drilled / decked blocks and heads (very good !!)

or you got Smiles engineering at Byker, they do cranks and everything else. Lance at Greena and White does not like him, however i have never ever had any problems (do not get shells from him he is over priced...see lance for that) there are machinists in the durham area, but you need to speak to Green and Whites an ask Ian or Lance

EDIT. if you are sending the block in to get done, personally i would have em replace ure cam bearings and get ure main strap milled. the mod is cheap and gives u extra insurance on the bottom end, also, if it is an A+ block knock out all ure oil gallery and water jacket core plugs, so when you get the block back you can check all the swarf etc has been fluched out, plus when you paint the block and put em back in the brass looks real bling against the paint *wink*
