Hi all. Has any one had ago at setting the camber up them selfs? My mate used to have accsess to a full rig but he has been transferd to i either pay up or do it my self. and well im broke. so... the story goes. Being silly and younger i had the camber set to 1.5degrees on the front and 0.5 on the rear ok if i had been running on 10" wheel but im not I'm on 13" so i need to pull in the camber and set it to more like 0.5 on the front and the the rear to 0. Any advice?

Alex.

1.5 is too much for a road car on any wheel/tyre set up IMHO.

The wheel size doesn't make much difference it's the offset ..... the position of the contact patch compared to the KPi is the really important point to consider when calculating the amount of camber you can get away with .... also you'll need to decide on the castor first to make a proper job of it!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Due to the design of the front suspension on a Mini an adjustment to castor will effect the camber setting and vice versa.

It has been a while since I did a Mini from scratch, about 5 years, so I can not remember how much one effects the other but I do remember the quickest way to get it set up is to get the castor to near your desired setting then get the camber close too.

What I always tried to do was have slightly too much camber and castor and adjust it back to the setting you want ..... seem to remember that usually got the fastest result.
