put some thought in to what intercooler you are going to run. This can make or brake performance on a good engine.

A water and oil pump is a good idea, you cant put metro turbo pistons in a 998, as ric says you might as well start with a 1275 block. |

my problem is the 1275 metro turbo block have a failure!! but i have 998 mini engine completly rebuild in my garage for free. and the intercooler i will use is a VW sharan front one from the 1.8 turbo engine |

Good advice dave. Basically, you're in the right place, all the info you need is here. But do a ton of reading in the FAQ and Beginners Tech sections before planning or buying anything. |

that's right i'm french. and i have two david vizard book: _how to modify your mini and yellow one than you talk about. the 998 engine have a center main strap and a 12g295 cylender head with 29mm exhaust valve and 33mmm inlet valve |

I must reckon 998 doesn't seem the best way to go if your goal is ultimate power.

A good 998 turbo is much better than a stage 3 1275 IMO, but a 1293 tubo is always goig to make more power.
