Hey you lot

I started her up today ...

She works !!!

CAnt move it yet as still need to do 4 ball joints

But the engine works a treat and the exhaust note if perfect !!

Tappets sound awful as well !!

But i will be at avonpark !!!

Me too!!! got mine MOT'd finally today! cant wait till avon park now, and the retro cars day at the pod. hopefully may have got an oil cooler and intercooler by then too.

Oh yeah what a feeling
done my balljoints and wheel bearing today

drove it up and down the road about 10 times
with one 12 inch wheel on the front ( looks wierd with a ERA kit !!)
and one metro 13 inch wheel

And the car flew !!!

Oh my god !!

the baily dump valve was going like the clappers

Engine knocks a lot ... I am hoping its just rockers !!

BUT

I am wondering if its the big ends ... because

It has very low oil pressure on start up ; like 20PSI

after running for a bit comes up nice Cant rememeber exact must have been about 50psi

and thats with a capilery gauge ?

Anyone have any comments

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Usually the other way round to be honest, pressure goes down as the engine gets hotter, usually get around 75psi cold fast idle then you want roughly 25psi hot idle.
