not much help but my cosworth used to be the same....if you raise the revs slightly you should see it close

Baileys are not ideal for turbo minis.... the rubber seals don't like fuel or something like that? On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

I've heard that the piston can become contaminated causing it to stick, most people seem to use the diaphragm type on the A-Series.

I had this problem with my bailey dump valve, the ruber seal grows for some reason, my got to a stage where it would never close, so I had to bin it! On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

I think the rubber seals swell up a bit because of fuel contamination!!!!!! But it is possible to get special seals that dont react with fuel. Edited by T3Tone on 23rd May, 2004. -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

the standard seals are made from nitrile which reacts with the fuel causing them to swell so the valve siezes. The seals needed are made from a material called viton. |

Anywhere mate, we use them at work although i doubt in the right sizes.
