finally got me car MOT'd today, so ive been out all afternoon getting used to it. Since ive never drove a turbo car before let alone a mini turbo, 9i got a question. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

get a boost gauge on asap. Prob is from plenum but i never remember hearing mine before i fitted D/V . Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

You've most likely got a leak somewhere blowing out air when it comes under boost. Mine did a similar thing when the pipe to the actuator split. Get a gauge on it as soon as, till then take it easy.

Yeah or the spring could be weak on the std DV in the plenum.

Sounds like excess pressure coming out the standard dump/blow off valve, like they've said get a gauge. Standard MG turbo flying?..hmm..bet you are running more boost then you think, they blow off at 10psi ish.
