Hi need some help. Got a IHI turbo for free today, it's apparently off a diahatsu charade turbo.
The only prob is there is no actuator, will i be able to fit any aftermarket actuator to it? Yes On 1st of Apr, 2007 at 09:04pm chappers said:
also there must be 4 or 5 tapped holes in the body of the turbo, i know 2 will be for oil feed and return, but are the others for some water cooling? Probably water cooling, yes. On 1st of Apr, 2007 at 09:04pm chappers said:
what pipes should i use for the oil feed and return, and where do i take a feed from the block? You'll need a braided hose making up with banjo connectors. these are available for T3s and T2s off the shelf from places like Avonbar. What I have done for my new turbo is modify a T3 hose by buying the correct banjo connector for the turbo and hose size. And most people take the oil feed from the oil pressure sender hole. the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |
