hey chaps, got me engine in now and pretty much all wiried up.
ive left the ecu in and the original wiring from my SPI and am using a electronic dizzy with the modual on the side?
could any one tell me where the white wire goes that comes off the modual, also what goes on the other connection on the modual.
ive done many searches and found that i need to run a 12v feed from my fuse box to the coil.
so do i need to remove the original feed to the coil and replace it with this?
cheers
jamie

There should be two wires from dizzy to coil, white/black from module to negative side of coil, white/yellow from module to pos side of coil, then a switched 12v feed to coil from fuse box as you mention. If you have all those three you will have enough for the engine to run.

Jamie, that wire might not be an original, but i think the white on the mini is live.

im sure that both wires from ignition module go to coil, one to positive, one to negitive, top one (if the module is on the right) is positive.

Switched is the key work here, do not be tempted to connect it up to a perminent live as you will burn the coil out in no time.

Also you will need to run a wire (traditionally white & black) from the - side of the coil direct to the rev counter.

What colour is it ???

White, or white/pink ???

Or do you have a choice of both as some early 80's Minis did.
