After looking at my bro's mini it sounds like the big ends are gone, and Im worried that he won't get the money for it that its worth, as it could be classed as a non-runner!!!!

Im after a running 998 engine. Not in need of the ancilleries just the block,pistons etc.. (maybe head)

Can collect around Oxford area..

it's the whole engine I just took it out to start the turbo conversion. It was running when I took it out. Will have a look at it later to seee what condition it is in. Don't want anything for it anyway it is just taking up space at the moment.

If you want me to strip it down for you that won't be a problem but I will need to find time to do it so will require a bit of beer money for that.

matt, it's looking like my mini probably won't be done for riv. :(

However, the good news is, that means i'll probably be in the golf. Load of room for an a series in the boot. Let me know.

TBH if its all together then, it may be best to leave it that way....beer tokens are no probs any how

The only reason I thought about using just block only is because the 'box in it at the moment is the old remote type with the old style drive shafts, and thought it would be less work to keep them.

Thinking about it as ive already got a pair of newer style shafts its easier changing them and the linkage than rebuild an engine out of two...could end up opening a can of worms there! lol

Ric I may take you up on that offer in echange for some beer tokens.

Will leave it in one piece then I only live about 6 miles from Newquay so should be easy to pick up.

there's not much more to do, but i still need to get it MOT'd and set up. The fuelling is sooo far off.

Had a play round my poppy fields test track and something really weird is up with the steering, i assume it's the dodgy ball joints.

Take your hubs off this weekend, drop them over mine. And I'll get them sorted next week as im off Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll post them back to you!
