well the hog is rebuilt from major reworks and paint job ( well still waiting for bloody head simon).

chucked last years head on as stiull waiting for nead from morspeed.

then got here running ok on normal ign before waiting to fir mega jolt.

any way took here to tecticals ( soory tescoes) to fill up on superplus before the old mot. got to round about and started to run on 3 so u turned back and got home.

pluuled plug which was very wet and oily and loads of blue smoke belching from exhaust. not good.

changed plug but still no joy.

done compression test and gauge didnt do alot so wipped of roker cover and yes low and behold no 4 inlet tappet had come undone ( thnak f@ck for that), done up to setting and cleaned plug then back to tescoes and she ran well on 7psi givenj her a bit of a blast as you do, so alls well which ends well i hope .

just got to go for the dreaded now.

From what I have heard of Morspeed customer service, my advice would be to contact Benross for a head.....

I've done worse, in a moment of blondness, after I replaced my head gasket a few weeks back (also had the head skimmed whilst it was off) I couldn't get the car to start, despite the best part of an afternoons worth of effort.

The next day I realised that I'd forgot to reset the tappets, so I went out with a set of filer gauges and not only was there no clearance on any of the rockers but they where actually preventing the valves from fully sealing. A bit of tweaking later and they were all happy and the car started started first turn of the key.

I was there at the weekend Tom, saw lots of your stuff.

The main problem with Morspeed is delivery times, I don't feel like I've ever been fobbed off, but it does get fraustrating.
