Well A Bini really... Just ordered a 2007 Cooper-S only added the important stuff, limited slip diff, traction control and 17" wheels and the only fluff is a sunroof.

Its in Silver with Black roof, I really wanted the Blue to match the real one but "Her indoors" wouldn't give in, after all Its supposed to be her car. Though I am in deep shit cos against all orders I couldn't resist the bonnet stripes..well hope she lets me drive it!!

I couldn't understand why many on this forum have such a problem with the New Mini Until I priced this exact build on the UK website, 19,500 quid--almost $40,000 WOW... I paid $26,350 including tax and tags.. Its a cracker and there is not much to touch it over here, remember no French or Italians allowed in the USA!! (they just sneak their engines in inside the Mini)

I think you're mistaking this forum for one of those that freely allow, nay promote anti-MINI bashing... I reckon most folks on here aren't that bothered one way or the other....

Good stuff on the purchase; although I thought they were more than that stateside - like STi prices ($32k)

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

They are too small and they don't use enough gas...

I think they got a bad reputation in the 70's and all pulled out. I seem to remember seeing somewhere that one of them is thinking of making a comeback next year. The only thing I occasionally see is the odd (old) Alfa.

You could probably ship a car for a couple of grand but it would be LHD and then the taxman cometh... One reason its so cheap for me is I live in low tax Delaware.. 2.7% tax on cars. The tax, tags and tire tax ($1 per tire would you believe!)came in under $1000

Picked it up today, Incredible driver, even limited to 4.500rpm and no flooring its a real go-er and the low end is all there, you wouldnt believe its a turbo. I cant wait to get the 1200 miles under the bonnet so I can really let it go! These 2007s seem to be much nicer riding even with the runflats but still handle as well. I like the "sport" button that sharpens up the steering and fly by wire throttle response.

The dangerous brothers.....
