OT/ Have I been hacked?

Last night that sister of mine got a complete and utter random phone call on her mobile from a guy called George from London. Anyway, he said a lot of things that I won't put on here but the gist of it all is how on earth did he get her name, number and address?!?! He says he got it from MSN, although that's rubbish I'm sure he got it from her laptop. Anyone up on this sort of thing? Should we cancel credit cards etc? She ordered a few things online recently and entered her mobile number in one of the fields so I guess that's how this sort of thing happens yeah?

I have a few malware programs that I run on my laptop but I guess your never safe!

I dont know, very suspect, id say there is a chance that you have been hacked, or they have got the details off the website, still saying they got it from MSN is a bit confusing, could it be someone she knows playing a trick?

I was watching a fraud thing on tv, where an undesirable gets some of your details and then calls you trying to get more details, however for that they were pretending to be a bank, or other organisation

I don't know why I think it all originates from the internet, I guess it could be someone she knows or a friend of a friend but they were foreign and I don't know any of her friends that would say what they said. They asked her to go one MSN (she doesn't even use that) and wanted to meet up with her. It's all rare. They weren't pushing for details or trying to be anyone, it was just George from London. I guess I am paranoid about people getting our private information!

I'd also like to point out that despite requesting pictures previously it wasn't me either....

Hahah, that'll teach both of yous a lesson! No this guy was a creep and although yous two can be pretty creepy I'm sure it wasn't yous.

May well be someone buying information from an Indian Call Centre.
Only costs about £2 per person to get their details.
