MiniMon ... what tyres are you going to throw over those ?.... surely they aren't going to be much fun to drive on 165s as the car will react to any minor imperpection in the surface ....

Are they going both in and out?

Each to there own I suppose.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I suppose it all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day

Be very careful with these. Not the rims themslves but the material around the wheelnuts.
Gavin Wakely on this site had banded rims on an old Mini of his and twice had the metal around the wheelnuts fatigue and break off. This was a road car, you might give them more of a hard time on a track.

I must say they do look good though.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

I have asked them about this as my dad use to drag race a 6 litre mopar engined anglia with banded wheels and he advised me to ask them to x ray the metal here as this is what he did at the end of each season for cracks so i will be doing this to check for weak spots

Youve gt mail paul*smiley*

Fairy snuff ... horses for courses.

I certainly wouldn't want to be trying to drive quickly on them around the bumpy, slippy, twisty Cotswold lanes around here.

As I always say a lot of the parameters around setting up a car is individual taste.

yeah, to be fair mines never going to be pushed on the road at all. i just want to be able to take a spirited run about in it.

Its got full mig suspension for a start!! *happy*

i save the racing for the track.
