ive got my engine out and driveshafts off and was going to replace the hub bearings....question is what bearings as i dont know if my hubs are the originals....car has got metro 4 pot setup ,does anyone know if the hubs need to be changed from standard to fit these???? hopefully all front wheel bearings are the same and it will be easy then!

Cant say for definite what you have! but most people including myself kept the orignal mini hubs when fitting vented discs and 4 pots.

as far as i know the bearings should be the same, ive been using the taper bearings with my 13x7's for a while and they're crap, only last about 6 months at a time. gonna switch back to the old type ball race bearings next time i have to change em, as ive been told that they take the load a bit better. really wish i'd never put 13's on now though, thinking of changing to 10's soon.

glad someone else thinks that the taper bearings are crap! mine only last about 6 months too..thought it was me fitting them wrong.

I have never had a problem with taper bearings...

They should be much better than just balls at handeling the load... hence there use in all modern vehicles!

Im going to do mine at the weekend, but i was told just to buy halfrauds heavy duty bearings, are these any good?
