whats the normal for a turbo mini regarding engine steadies...ive only got a top one which is uprated....will i need a bottom steadie and do they fit without drilling subframe??

Adding the head steady from the thermostat housing to the bulkhead is a good idea. I have also added steadies from the speedo end of the gearbox and the flywheel housing, these go rearward and bolt to the subframe.
The more you can add the better really, the thermostat one being the most worthwhile.

Phil, how have you attatched the thermostat one to the car, bearing in mind the crossmember where it normally bolts has been removed to get the turbo in..

people make custom brakcets, ive been trying to research them myself, i think turbodave uses one but i cant see clearly in the pics

When I installed my top mount, I had to cut it down to clear the turbo box, it used 1 of the standard LHD bolt holes, I just drilled 3 more, all of which are still accessible from underneath where the LHD pedal box goes. Would love to send pics but my engine bay is rather full, don't know if I could get the camera in to the area.

By the way, I also have the mount on the flywheel end and a front mount going to the subframe on the flywheel end. Engine moves NOWHERE!

competition shocks make great steadies.use them on my rally mini.
