i picked up my engine today, got lost in london trying to find the bloke i got it from but it was worth it..
for ?100 i got
turbo block and pistons, bores look good and it apparentley wasn't smokey before removal.
t3 and manifolds, no play in shaft and it turns nice and smooth
plenum
oil cooler: its then standard metty turbo i think, are they any good??
head: looks good, needs cleaning, i will probably sell it though or use it as an exchange for something a bit more special.
and.. i got another turbo, it looks almost new, no play and good free spinning on the shaft. its quite small and its manufactured by kkk i don't know what its from but i'll find out and flog it.

great stuff! Can i just mention on the note of oil coolers, i told miniwilliams i was gonna use it in another post even though he told me i wouldnt need it (which i didnt mean personally!). I just re read it, i didnt mention i have a sump guard too, on your MW site it says you loose alot of gearbox cooling wiht one. Sorry, thats another reason for using it forgot to mention.

Cool, sounds like you got yourself a bargain. Price of metro turbo bits seems to be going up and up. The kkk probably came off something german.

kkk's are definitely used on vauxhalls turbo's
