metro turbo fuel pump please

I would like one that I can get my engine running in the garage with, so as long as it works i'm not fussed what it looks like. The car breakers and scrap yards are useless round here for stuff like that.

Any pump from an injection car will do the job for you mate.

VW and Vauxhal both used a similar pump to that on the Mety and are much easier to find.

Roger,

You have to be careful which pump you use. the mutro one was lower pressure and flow than most injection pumps.

I think it was mark that used to get through reg diapraghms as a result of fitting a chav pump (opps meant cav!)

mutro ones arent that hard to come by, and are easily available new from a bosch dealer at a reasonable price.

If you get a new one then it will probably outlast the mini shell!!

I pre-filter mine as i've had problems with bits getting in it and causing it to stop dead!

i bought one of those monday night matty, think its sat at the sorting office now waiting for me to pick it up. should know if its any good by the weekend.

hhmm i have a pump off a espace im using. was wandering then if its too powerfull for the regulator. its not set up yet but sometime i start my car i have to turn pump off and then when the cars running i flick pump on and car sometimes dies so i have drive down road bit first only sometimes it does this. could the pump be to powerfull or is it where its not really set up well at mo, but on idle i set up the mixture ok? sorry to change the subject on the post but its kinda similar i guess

I had the same problem, on start up (only when warm) the engine would die when I switched the pump on!

Turned out to be my FPR turned up too high, and was dumping loads of petrol in the engine and basically flooding it. Ive change the FPR and adjusted it to 3.5 psi, and its spot on...and so has the lingering smell of petrol!!

A pump that is too higher pressure would have a similar effect though!

know what you mean about smelling of fuel matty. Like Jfs metro I've got 2 facets and a strange filter arrangement. I think mine is at 5psi on tickover. It was explained why....but I forgot as normal
