Hello Guys!!!

Could you please give me your opinion for that project, I would built a strong track day or weekend warrior supercharger engine.

This is what Vmax Scart adviced me

steel ultralight flywheel and clutch , double grey with turbo plate
kent 286 cam timed to 108 degrees
full roller rocker set
basic engine build , balance , new brearings ,fasteners , pump etc
suitable gearbox : straight cut , torsen lsd , s/c drops , cent pickup

the super charger kit comes with , arp head studs , race modified 36x31 cyl
head , modified charger, manifolds (in and ex), belts pulleys ,brackets
,carb , filter , fuel pump , regulator , comp water radiator , instructions
, intercooler and pipework

power with engine spec @ 30 degrees ambient air , 195 -210 bhp @6800
(reliabillity rev limit set to 7000 rpm ) peak torque 190 ft lbs
@4500 rpm"

Thank you in advance !!! *smiley*

im suprised stuart quoted that much power and at that ambient temp.

that setup does sound good and probably a bit pricey.

ive never seen that much power from a supercharged A series, stuart is good and done forced induction minis for longer than probably everyone on this site. so if any one can get that much its Vmax

knowing what goes into a good engine i assume its going to cost a small fortune.

Yep Stuart knows his stuff, His prices are pretty reasonable to in my experience. Only problem is there's only one of him so understandably stuff can take a bit of time.

4k isnt it for this set up.

He does quote a 200 banana set up on his site though.

thank you for your replies...

By respect for Stuart, I prefer to not put his price here, but after checking price parts with other company, he's not so expensive...but I asked him 200Bhp from his supercharger *tongue*

and I can see, he has a very good reputation in this business.

Thanks guys again for your help !!!

LOL!

I'm pretty sure the whole bimmer charger on an A series was Stuarts idea, and credit to him he's getting some good results from it. When I went up to pick up my 7 port head from him he had that red blown MPI with the black rims on thats been in mags. seeing the install first hand i was impressed by how stock it looked.

...Even more when he said it was putting out about 160 brake.

Bearing in mind that was with a small charge cooler between the charger and manifold I can see with a decent front mount intercooler there would be a fair bit more oomph. :)

If I was in the position that I had the funds available I would be more than happy to put the work Stuarts way for the ret of my engine build.

Nic who was second at Avon last year I'm sure will agree as his engine was built by Stuart.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

I'd use Vmax too. I've looked over the Jonspeed kit and to be honest I am not that impressed with the quality. Might be me being picky but I think you will get a better overal product from somebody like Stuart as he really knows his stuff.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I would go to Stuart as his after sales service will be good.

I think it is optimistic to expect that power out of the Eaton M45 tbh. They just aren't great at the higher boost levels needed to make the quoted power.

However - this looks like a great starting point for a project.
