Lake District

That's what i use, i've found the best results using it. I know some people use really thick stuff like 20/50, but mine was terrible using that.

Yep i always use 3 in 1 as its alot thinner works a bit better in the dashpot. should run it dry if its mot time though cus it puts up the co level a bit more than it should

when i drove a 10" wheeled Mini last it felt insane !

i have always used gearoil sea80-90. gives better constiant rise rate when hot.

also dont go mad and over fill the dash pot, you need just enough so when refitting pluger that when it hits the oil the screw cap is only about inch from top of the carb, any more and it will just get sucked into the carb.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

I use Eggnog.

Only joking, dashpot oil is an 'everybody does something different, and everyone is right' typ thing.

I use thicker oil in the turbo than the NA. It's easy to tell iff it's a bit thin as when you stamp your foot down it hesitates. If it's a bit thick it is less apparent, so thicker is better IMO.

As pointed out above, something that is consistant over a temerature range like a synthetic oil is a good choice.

NA I use 20/40

Turbo I use Gear Oil

2 dashpot springs or a heavy duty one helps stop it rising to quick too

Adelaide Australia.

Due to the temp, espeically in summer here everyone uses ATF. But I have found this to be a bit thin, plant yor foot down it hesitates a bit and A/F ratio guage show lean (piston lifting too quick)

a stronger spring with blocked "part throttle leaning pipe" should correct this lean situation that cannot always be by the oil grade alone.
