Hi guys,

I bought a magnatronic luminition kit the other day and well it doesn't seem to work. I tryed to get the aldon but they didn't have stock of the correct kit for my set up.
I'm not getting any spark at all. I have changed the coil and the rotor arm and dizy cap look good. I am getting over 12v to the coil and i have the lum kit hooked up to a 12v ignition feed and the neg side of the coil. I have put my meter across the neg of the coil and the engine block and when i crank the engine i get nothing no volts.... this seems to me to say that the lumintion kit isn't switching anything. any ideas?

Check that the 12V ignition feed dosen't switch off when cranking.

Is the disk the correct distance from the module?

definatly get 12v during cranking, it does drop alittle. I have a gap betwen the disk and the roter but its very small about 2mm. I have bought my self a set of points to fit to see if the engine will start.

2mm seems quita lot. Check what the spec says in the instructions.

went back to good old points and it started, the wires arn't in the lum kit right. Sending the unit back, fualt. Thanks

Still running luminition, just had a few duff ones thats all. they are good when they work.

I just don't have the time or cash to get it done. I've sold the Kit, Just waiting on Morspeed to get the god Dam Pulley done.
I've just sold him a new compressor to.
