i am aware that you need a ring compressor to put pistons into a block but to remove the rod and pistons can you just pull them out the botom of the bore or is it a bit more technical than that?
i don't want to damage my block..

You cant pull them out the bottom, you need to push them out the top.

unless you have the block inverted, then you pull them out the bottom

No you can't, the pistons need to be removed out the top of the bores. They will not come out the bottom believe me ... *wink*

phil, if the block is inverted, then the top becomes the bottom, and the bottom becomes the top, so you can. Also if you put the block on it's side, you can them reomved the pistons from left to right action. LOL
