Cheers Nic. After it’s first run out last night I came to the following conclusions.

1: Must wear ear plugs when driving Mini.
2: Must change to a taller FD with 10” wheels.

Phil.

1. You've got old and sensible :) although you'll find its not as noisy next time out.
2. Whats in there now? Mines low but the low gearing is a plus living where we are, just a pain on the long trips, and how many of them are you gonna do?

Here for the craic..

Well after only around 20miles of testing since it passed the MOT I decided to brave the 300 mile round trip to Himley Hall at the weekend. The car proved reliable, though my ears were battered sitting at 70/75mph at 4,500rpm all the way.
The weather was perfect and I drove down on the Saturday and stayed over at Nicks house. We set off at 8am and enjoyed another sunny day. Watching Nicks car torque steer all over the road on the way was entertaining.
I really enjoyed the show it was much more like MITP used to be when it was in Oxford.

So this is how it’s looking now. I’d like to lower it a little more but can only just get it off the drive as it is! Lol

Really like the look. The colour is great and the 10 inch wheels look amazing. If mine runs fine it maybe earns some 10s too *happy*

So this winter’s modifications haven’t been completed yet but I’m currently trying to fit a front mounted rad and fan with side mounted/ducted intercooler.
I’ve also bought a throttle body from SC so I’ll be swopping to injection at some point to.
I’m still grafting away on the cylinder heads to, so I’ve got plenty to keep me busy.

Can't wait to see how you get on with the SC kit! I feel there's a lot of potential in them still.

Yes it’s still in progress but way down the list at the moment as I’ve got plenty more to go with the 5port stuff for now.
Here’s a couple of pics of some work over the last couple of weeks.

Wow! A year since I updated this.
The winter mode have dragged on somewhat and as free time is limited it’s taking ages to make progress.
Currently fitting a new floor pan in the drivers footwell, fitting a 19 point safety devices cage, water methanol injection, digital dash, knock sensor, coil overs and loads of other stuff.
