i have got some metal 8mm fuel pipe, do i use this for the return only or return and feed?
can anyone explain to me in simple terms how i wire my fuel pump in? and do i have to take off the pump on the back of the block and block it off?
cheers

alright steve, this fuel line subject has been thrown up a few times on this forum so you should be able to find something if you do a search, as is the case for wiring up the fuel pump, some people use the standard metro turbo set up with oil cut out switch and timer relay, others use an inertia cut out switch in conjunction with the oil cut out via the relay, do some searching on the forum anyway

i have heard people discussing 8mm hose, but i think some of this may have been rubber fuel injection hose, but then i think others have used copper hose that is 8mm.

it also seems that the return needs to be more like 10mm as well

the mechanical pump has to be removed, as this is where the drain oil from the turbo goes into the block

you'll need either an mpi tank with integral pump, or the metro turbo fuel pump (or similar injection pump), and a rising rate fuel regulator that the metro turbo came with, i think you can also use one off a renault 5 turbo as an alternative

ive used full rubber pipes. The bit i cant work out is the tank to the pump, i have connected it with 8mm hose but im now thinking this is wrong and maybe it should have been 10mm?
