sure i read somewhere in here (but cannot find again, even with seach) that metro 4 pots can be used with smaller discs (7'9? 7'4?)as long as the spacer wasnt used.... did i read right?!

erm i dont htink that is true as im sure you need to grind bits off of them!

minispares (7.5") are the ones to have as there good value for money, i think there lighter than metro 4 pots and they just bolt stright on, after alot of bleeding and swearing they should be good!
im planing on fitting a servo with mine as i dont like the first feel of the pedal and find im always having to pump the pedal a bit, even though im sure theres no air in the sytem. once there warm there good though.
my experiance with them are only with a 998 so the 1293 turbo will put them more towards there limits! lol

hope that helps mate.

cheers

i had a set of them a few years ago but got shot of em on ebay after taking a closer look. the disc gets machined down to 7.9", the calliper mounting holes are redrilled and the adges are ground off so it will move closer to the centre of the disc. then the outside edge of the calliper is ground down aswell.

Not something i'd wish to attempt myself tbh. plus the set i bought had the outer bleed nipple sheared off to clear the wheel which would have made it fun when i came to try and bleed them.

I'm running a normal 2 pot 8.4" setup modded the same way on mine to fit under 10's at the minute until i can afford some proper brakes.
