i found my first mini noticable quicker when i took out the huge rubber floor mat (meant for a volvo) the previous owner had put in
"Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

In my other mini a friend pointed out to me that if slid the mat back I gained another half inch of throttle. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

You should be getting full throttle and sometimes it does require a bit of work to get. Although it does have to be said that its not as important as on Naturally Aspirated engines and even then only if they are close to the limit of the carb i would have thought. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

It's the first thing I check after reconnecting a throttle cable. But quite commonly missed. All good RR operators check it at some point.

Cutting carpet??, twisting pedals?? surely adjusting your throttle cable is easier? I didn't have enough travel in my pedal, if I adjusted the cable my idle speed was way too high.
