I have someone who wants to order something from me. They want to transfer the money into my account.

I dont know this person, and they dont live in England, but if i give them my account number and sort code, is it possible for me to get conned?

Im not saying i dont trust this person, but i dont wanna get stitched.....

sounds like a cone to me mate!

as soon as they start saying there from abroad and need your accont details etc, its a no go in my oppinion!

well i wouldnt give my bank details to anyone over the internet/phone apart from the well known shops etc.
whats wrong with a cheque or paypal?

Don't give you're account details to anyone, Get them to paypal you the money or some other 'safe' method for money transfer.

Its too dodgy.

dont think they could do any damage with just your bacs details (sort code etc) but still wouldnt risk it, stick with the ones u have

paypal should work, cheques wont work. The information he needs to send the money directly to your account is the banks adress, you account number and the SWIFT number for the bank if my memory serves me.
