Avonbar Cam or Kit?

Hi there,

Just about to order the Phase 2 Avonbar cam, but just wondering if it is nessecary to get the cam kit (which also includes Cam followers,Correct Valve Springs, timing Disc and Cam Lube) for an extra £80?

Am upgrading from the origninal metro turbo cam, so does anybody know if these parts would be much different? considering the cam is only £65 an extra £80 seems quite a lot!!

where abouts in liverpool are you?

id get the kit, i did.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Have ordered the kit, apparently it has gone up in price too this month!

Am in crosby dude, where abouts are you? dont have any gears laying around that you dont want do you?

personaly i would have just got the cam from avonbar

the 180 pound springs and cam followers from minispares North and the disk
ALL for under £35

expect massive !!! p&p charges from avonbar

surely you get an oil pump in the cam kits aswell though? i'd have hoped so for the extra £80 anyway!

i found avonbar reasonable on postage last time i ordered from them.

postage wise i hope they have got better

as they have had a lot of stick over this for the last 6 months

sure theres no oil pump with the kit bud

i wish there was an oil pump - no sign of it im afraid :(
