well after a dreadfull start to the year, the hog is back on full song.

after the respray and having to wait ages for the head from morspeed the 1380 was going well except for some very large plums of blue smoke coming from the exhaust.

after swapping heads and fitting new guides and valves again still the problem exsisted so bit the bullet and built a new engine.

she is now basically the same spec except she now has minispares mega +40 turbo pistons giving me a CR of 8.2.

every dropped in well and she started first time ( another hint coming shortly).

no smoke ( touch wood) so she is now sorted.

the old engine i must say was went like hot snot on 16 psi with the new head torque steering like mad in 3rd which aint bad with a 2.9 diff and 13 inch wheels, also the poor old gal was 78 years old now and was thrashed for most of them also the pistons were second hand when i built the engine after fitting new rings ect so she owes me nothing.

now got the laborius task of running in.

well the hog let me down the other day at a garage after a refill.

found out that the carb was flooding so had to strip of carb and tip all the fuel out so the fresh fuel could flush out the offending arctical, after 5 attepmpts it worked.

also found out that the long drive shaft is bent as i get a vibration so just got to sort that out now at some point although not a emergancy at the mo.

i've gotta ask, how exactly do you ben a driveshaft!
