looks like typical steam pipe gasket....

it will blow IMO.

if its for the manifold to head interface, buy a proper turbo gasket.

if its for manifold to turbo interface....you dont need a gasket.

I'm using the proper gaskets at the head and T25 flange, this is just for the turbo to downpipe, I was told that a gasket is not needed but since I welded the flange I am not overly confident that it will seal, this gasket material seemed the best bet...

It might work down there ok....

but it would be better to ahve to totally flat surfaces, with no gasket. Then it can never leak.

Yep,

I'd just use a bit of exhaust paste, or a bit of copper sheet cut to the right shape.

Hi, similar question, my exhaust flange has wasrped slightly from welding a downpipe to it and i can get 1.7mm graphite 'DIY' gasket, anybody tried it?
Hoping i can avoid having to face the flange..

Also is copper safe for the same job too?

Thanks, Hario.

As above..machine it flat, then no gasket required.

If no machinists available....you can file it flat...but boy does that take a long time !!!
