ok i have just been re posted and now my journey to work involves driving a bit further, i have been looking at the Fiat 126's but have been advised they are super unrelaible. i wouldnt mind a mini, preferably tax exempt, i dont mind doing a bit of work but the car would need to be able to be turned around fastish summit econamical ?

no offence but i would buy something relatively new. its amazing what you can get for around a grand nowadays.

totally understand where you are coming from, but the car would be a too and from work affair, i have my family car for the propper shite. the reason tax exempt is i cant afford to insure / tax / mot three cars (including the turbo) i have ran minis in the past for years as daily drivers and i dont mind em, each to their own i guess.

yeah i know mate, my wife says no way for me to get back on motorbikes, and i got two kids now so i dont want to take that risk, seen to many accidents involving bikes.

Well richie, i have a project that i am getting rid of. Mini 30, 1989 was owned by a manager of a bodyshop until 2002 when i found it for a mate who bought it. He never passed his driving test and i bought it after it stood for 3 years. It needs some bodywork and few other bits and pieces but its a sound car in the right places. It needs new sills, a scuttle corner and a pair of wings/front panel. Looking for £500 really. Work commitments and the K1100 project have put pay to the whole resto really. |

any pics ? and is it 1275 or 1000 ? there is a local lad selling a 71 plater for 500 but it has been painted with emulsion, just got to check the body work psml !

Sorry been away working at Spa for a couple of days. I shall roll it out and get some pics. Its a 998 i'm afraid but when we had it last on the road it was the strongest standard 998 i had driven. No mot and its sorned would need a trailer.
