Was trawling - and thought this might be of interest?

Look at the sills, inner sills, floor, door step and area around the seat bins...
This is a VERY solid shell!

And then there is this unloved fellow. Clearly been well bogged up and in need of a full resto, but a genuine tax-exempt model (or so it says, don't see the date mentioned though)!

I bought the car in the first link on thursday! Thanks for the tip off haha.

Turns out i gave the chap the deposit just as someone "bought it now" on the auction! Was very luck the car is absolutely what i need its very solid, cant be happier!

Will get some pics up in show us yours after i get the car back to mine!

Good stuff Rich,
So was it as good as the pics showed?

I can't believe the second one went for such little money!

Yeah its just as good as the pics and then some, as the guy has done so much work all it really needs a lick of paint and tidy up and it will be very good.

All the ancillaries are either new or re conditionied and literally the only bit of rust is the scuttle corners like in the pictures and that can be rubbed down in seconds! So much for the money it really is, i can probably sell the wheels and tyres and make half the money back!

Alot better than my rusty shell, i would have spent more on panels and work than buying this car to be honest!

I was originally looking for a clubman so i ccould re-shell my project but had no luck as they are hard to come buy in good nick for the right price. So as soon as i saw that auction i saw the light and rang him straight away! Cheers TurboDave, youve probably just halved my project time!!

Second one did't sell Dave, it had a reserve. I don't think it did originally though!

People take the piss on ebay sometimes, 5 bids and it only got to 112 quid!
