Was watching the news last night and noticed that the first cars have come out of longbride again.
Ok there only making the TF's at the minute, but good luck to them and its nice to see a British car still being made in Britain :)

Longbridge was also on the TV last night in Andre Marr's History of Britain.

He covered the most significant events in British history during the 1950s.

In amongst the tales of political and social history was at least five minutes devoted to the Mini.

He covered Issigonis, the Longbridge works, the Suez crisis that sparked of the idea of a small economical car.

He said "The Mini is the most important car ever made in Great Britain."

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."
