can i use the top of this bolt that goes to the brake servo as a takeoff for either a dump valve or turbo boost gauge?, i have noticed it has a plastic x piece inside, not too sure what that does but i can blow and suck air through it

It is a non return valve. It is probably shagged. |

Try blowing through it from the manifold end. You'll find it works then.

so it will be no good for a takeoff ? surely its just a case of running a drill down it to remove the valve. Why is it there in the first place, the pipe is swaged at the top so looks like it carrys a hose to something. One way v/v is there to stop the turbo pressurising the breather system when on boost.

ah, so the cannisters on the engine are plumbed in to this spigot to burn off in the engine?so if i don't plumb the cannisters, i could use it for the boost guage?, or am i talking cock as usual.

Is yours still using the servo vav pipe, not too clear if you have a servo in thatr pic. also, will it affect the boost gauge reading, could i use it as a trigger for the bov 133.5 bhp 123 lb torque 116mph @6640rpm 9.5psi

Managed to fit a duel splittter pipe in the centre of the vac bolt, will this be ok for both the bov and the boost gauge? or will they interfere with each others performance
