Hi al,well Im in the middle of completing set up of the Turbo build but I thought I stick up some pics of my N/A car. shes a 1973 Clubman... heres the spec n some photos

Body
Morris Mini Clubman 1275 GT, A complete deseaming of the shell. New panels were fitted where necessary. Fibreglass boot lid and bonnet. Hand made alloy door skins. Bare metal re-spray in Austin Rover Blue, Custom rear shock towers, adjustable ride height from inside the boot.
Engine
Now 1430cc A-series with 136bhp. Weber 45 DCOE Carburettor on Longman 5.5in Alloy Inlet Manifold polished and matched to the head. Pipercross Air Filter. Maniflow Big Bore three into one exhaust manifold, Maniflow Twin Box exhaust system. Longman large port head with Rimflow valves. 36.5mm inlet and 31mm exhaust. 1.5 High-lift rockers. ISKY Can Followers. Kent VP8C Scatter Cam from new blank. Adjustable Tooth Belt Cam Drive. A- Series Think Flange Solid Centre Main Block. Offset Bored to 73.5mm.Howley Racing 84mm Long Stroke Wedged Crank. "Cooper S" Rods. Omega Pistons, All fully Lightened and Balanced. Special 7 gallon Alloy baffled fuel tank. Facet Red top electric fuel pump. Pro in-line fuel pressure regulator. Aldon Modified Distributor. Lumenition Electronic Ignition. Lucan Gold Sport Coil. 13 Row Oil Cooler. Special 2 Core Radiator.
Transmission
Lighened and balanced flywheel assembly, competition clutch. JK Straight Cut Close Ratio Four Speed, Four Sync Remote Shift Gearbox with Straight Drop Gears. Mini Torque Steer Cross-Pin Diff. 3:44 Final drive
Suspension
Replaced Rear Subframe with Speedex Beam. Fromt and Rear Spax Coil over suspension. Full Adjustable springs, dampers and ride height. Rose Jointed Lower Front Arms and Tie Rods. All adjustable for camber caster toe in and out
Brakes
Servo Assisted, Mounted in Car under Near side dash panel. Four Pot Calipers 8.4in Drilled, groved and vented discs. E.C.B Kevlar PAds at the front, Super Minifin Alloy Brake Drums at the rear. Stainless Steel Braided Front Brake Hoses

I know its alot of photos but Im chuffed shes immaculate*happy* Rollcage wouldnt be the best but thats not the worst in the world!!

Cheers lads... theres very little to be done, possibly get rid of thise pedals, and I have a set of Carbon mirrors I might throw them on to break up all the Blue

Yeah shes an absolute beast to go! its quicker than my Turbo at the moment and its at 140bhp, but thats probably due to the extra weight and I havnt got my SC/CR gearbox fitted to the turbo yet!!*angry*
The cam is a bit irratic down low but when it comes on its great to drive...

Oh yeah, heres a pic of teh turret design to allow adjustment of the coilovers from inside the boot... (done by the previous owner) but a clever design*happy*

though the grill could do with a colour change personally

Thanks Nic, Ive already plans to break up the sea of blue with a black grill and some carbon mirrors.. your dead right its too much blue!*happy*

hi dude,

mint car you got there and love the little ratchet holding device in the boot. and agree about breaking up th blue a tad.

one thing though..

on the pic of your engine bay whats that pipe etc coming from where the heater unit usualy sits ? its got a bulge in there aswell what is all that about ?

ive often wondered what type of person would build a deseamed mini tho? lol

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Nice 1 m8,
You should strip the grill :)
I did mine, and then used some metal Polish to bring it up.
Come up like this. link below.
When you open the link, click on the Picture, and the picture will become bigger, so you can see the grill close up and clearer.
As the grill looks abit fuzzy at first.

not a fan of the colour coded grill - if it was me think i would polish it up or paint it black. *wink*

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!
