Now most on here run disc brakes, and i guess a few of you like me have the Cooper "S" set up.

Well just thought i'd say to keep and eye on your hub arm that goes to your track rod end.

I've just checked mine car for the MOT and the wheel had play from side to side, but i could see any movement in the ball joints or track rod, it turned out to be the 2 bolts that hold the arm in place, had come loose.

This is weird as they have lock tabs on then.

i had the same problem last mot as i found out when they tested it

dont you just get an MOT over the phone? are they ment to look at the car?

My Car had a normal MOT on it, propper job, not bloke in the pub, never had a problem with the boot floor, they never even mentioned it, so neither did I! MOT time soon, I doubt it'll be a problem

Yes them suckers can come loose!

I suspect they "wiggle" loose, I'd ditch the locktabs and use locktite/wire. The works teams used to lap them in or something.

Also KAD are in the process of doing some alloy hubs and arms with 3 bolts.

mini13 yes i think your right i've never had any thing come loose with locktite before, good idea sir!

you lot about the mot! LOL.

I wish i knew someone that could do it over phone!, its not nice having a spotty 16 year old going all over your car! pointing out this and that and why have you done this and done that! when you no more about minis then he ever will.

And looks like it has happend to more people than i thought.

happend to me a few years ago mat

i used high strength locktight
problem sorted

but keep an i on them all the same
