Hey, going to be modifying my fuel tank soon. Its a carb tank off a 1989 mini. Where do i put the return pipe? is it just on the flat bit by the breather outlet facing into the boot at the top?

Also, what size fuel lines should i use for the turbo engine to the tank and where should i buy them?

Many thanks

James.

yes return where you say 3/8 or 8mm is good size to have i think some people use 10 mm or even 12 but tbh i dont think it is needed, altho 3/8 is almost 10 mm and i have 3/8 line (*tongue* lol )
i think standard metro turbo was only 6 mm (could be wrong tho) so any thing above that is good 8)

Shropshire.

I made a new hole for the return, i dont think that breather is big enough.

8mm copper pipe can be had from loads of places.. DIY shops to your local garage suppliers.

im sure you need to restrict the flow just before the fuel presure regulator. (seach for info on here, there is a diagram showing where this should go)

then use an 8 or 10 mm for the return.

Nah, im not gonna use the breather. Going to drill the tank near the breather for a return and put an 8mm outlet for the return pie. Thanks very much guys.

Will use an 8mm fuel line. I take it that Will that be ok for a standardish metro turbo motor if the metro uses 6mm?

giallofly, what size is the pipe you have? Is it for the fuel line or just the outlet?

Thats what I did, just drilled the where the breather goes bent the oulet of the pipe so it pointed down on the tank and welded it in. Not used it yet, don't know if I have done it right either lol
