Cool, did you use a spray gun to put that on? Looking at having to buy a comp and all the accessories but it'd make a rather large dent in my wallet as far as I can tell!

oh god no, this stuff sets with moisture, when it hits your skin it sets really fast, and will NOT come off, i had to wear it around on my hands for a good week before it grew out. itll do the same to your lungs, so unless you have an air fed mask dont spray.

the POR15 has pretty strict guidelines for surface prep and overcoating, if you dont follow them to the letter it doesnt stick well, and paint wont stick to it well. so take that into consideration *wink* your origional choice may be easier in that respect!

Lol so brushing it is! Seems like quite a good version, though requires a lot of prep. Will prob try epoxy mastic and let you guys know how it goes :)

I've used both and the winner is ....... both!

To be fair I'd use them for different things.

The epoxy mastic is MUCH easier to get a good finsih on when sprayed. It looks, a 100,000,000 times better than POR15 ...... almost invisible once it's over painted the sprayed finish is so good!

If your building a show car then it HAS to be the Epoxy Mastic on the body panels.

POR 15 has no equal for suspension components etc. due to how well it can be worked into the little brackets and depressions. It is significantly easier to work with than Epoxy Mastic when applied with a brush due to it's thickness.
Your less likely to get marked down by the judges for having a slightly mottled finish on the suspension due to the smaller areas making the mottled effect less obvious and the fact that a lot of companies, leyland included, never had smooth finishes on their suspension components.

If you want one product to do it all then I'd go with the epoxy mastic if your going to spray it onto the underside of the shell and POR15 if your going to brush everything.

As for looking after your lungs ...... absolutley.

I use an air feed mask with a separate compressor at least 30m away from where I am spraying and definately the other side of at least 1 full wall (I put the 2nd comp in my shed and spray in the garage with both sets of doors shut).

As an aside you should always wear a solvent capable passive mask when rubbing down anything with 2pk paint on due to the iso never really curing out.

Take no chancs with your life!!!!!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
