Is it just a 1275?

Near enough, its an MG engine with a slight overbore 1293, its also been built to road/race spec.

I have thought about getting a Turbo under the hood, but its a lot of hassle, so I might be thinking of a 1493 race engine later in the year.

Sounds good. Probably gets about 75/80bhp at the mo?

I'd still go for the turbo though, sorry.

it was 75BHP when the guy who owned it before me had it, but thats probably nearly two years ago.

It needs another tune up soon, so I will let you know, but as said in another discussions they are not always reliable, as if you take it to Triple R tuning near me, they are more or less bob on, bt if you take it to Mini Sport I would probably be running at 120 or something like that, they are silly figures out

My mini has been off the road for a few months, as it died a while back, but before it did, it had about 65bhp.. 1275 metro lump (not MG) - twin 1 1/4 carbs, LCB + straight through exhaust..

I Like your bootlid how and were did you get he paintwork on it?

Sure is a custom exhaust,

also that boot is a graphic, I have an airbrushed one for show use.
