nr coventry

i'm just popping out to get some engine paint to do the block & head on my engine, what type shall i get, i know a few hotrod v8 chaps that just use 2pak, or is proper engine enamal the stuff to use what shall i get?

i'd have liked to do the engine its original satin/matt finish 998 A+ yellow but seems like it cant be got!

1st choice is matt/satin yellow if not i dont know what to go for colour wise, green maybe! hmmmm not a fan of black & the car is red so dont want to do it red

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

no, no, no you want a Mint Sunrise. I think Hammerite do this shade (I use Hammerite smooth btw) It does sometimes discolour at high temperatures though.

i've considered magnolia but i dont know if's gonna clash with my OEW wheels hehe *happy*

i've found some yellow hammerite in the garage, its in a rattle can, enough for the block! its very bright though!

i wonder if hammerite do a matt/stain finish laquer! hmmmm over the top of the paint it may look factory!

or shall i just do it BMC green

Sorry slight thread jack. My metro engine paint has been preserved in oil and was wondering whether I should repaint it blue to go with the shell, or keep it original red as there are sod all original red engines about that don't need a paint?

I use crown gloss usually, (as been said above good range of colours) had no probs with it, but my turbo motor is painted in bmc green, which I got from somerfords.
