After reading the articlce in PPC on the Renault 16v powered volvo 340, im finding myself on Ebay looking for one, God help me!!

There was a volvo with a 1.7 turbo in it at the retro car show running good times! Will have to get the mag to have a look!

I dont normally get the mag, but purchased it to read on the plane when I went on holiday, seems such a simple job to do, too tempting! Im the same as you clubmanflip too many projects!

my mini clubman shell & box of bits & my triumph 2500s that'll get a rover v8 engine eventually

if i had a place to put a small RWD car i'd keep it for future fun

i had a 1.6 mx5 & that was great ut needed more power or a turbo!!!

25mph on a damp island & i thought i was the best driver ever hehe drifting it around islands hehe

i need another small rwd car again at some point & preferably with a scrapyard turbo setup for laughs!

My next car is going to be a 340, i was gonna try and buy it and turbo it for 500 quid.

They are starting to get more popular and prices are beginning to creep up as people realise their drift potential.

You boys from UK are strange! Why do you want to put this Renault engine in to a Volvo (I have the mag, so I have been reading the article)??? Why not put a B230 from a 240/740 instead?? It will fit perfectly in the 360, and here in Scandinavia the got up to 550hp in thiese engines (more in full drag engines) :)

B230 is bullet proof (my 240 is on 136k and still going strong, ive seen them with 400/500k on orignial engine before as well ) and yes lots of bananas are possible but they weigh a hell of alot. Then again the 340 is not as light as it looks.

the 2.3 ltr 20 v turbo units are easy to get and push 280 bhp ! bullit proof engines !!! 160 mph too which i can vouch for !
