Im selling a Turbo Carb and Manifold on Ebay and a potential buyer is asking me this.

"there should be a clamp that goes in the groove thats under the dashpot lid that stops the dashpot lid popping out when the carb is under presure from the turbo."

Call me thick but i havent seen anything of the description.

Ther is indeed a grove under the dash pot where it seals onto the carb body. The grove is where the seal sits. It doesn't stop the dash pot popping off, it just seals it better than a NA carb.

Hes right there is a little clamp. Thats why the turbo carbs have that groove in the top of the dashpot. You very rarely see them though.

Nobody i know runs with the clip fitted, and i've never heard of anybody having a problem because of this.
