Ive got the usual later type sindered rocker setup on my engine. Ive got a set of 998 pressed steel rockers in the spares box, both are in decent but used condition.

Which would be better option in your opinion?

Engine is a N/A, Full Race Head. 300deg cam, etc, etc..

I'd use the pressed steel ones,

I think they are harder wearing due to a better pad and having bushes, also i have heard of sintered ones breaking.

might be worth running a bead of weld up the back of them ala Vizard?

also arn't presed ones higher ratio? 1.3 rather than the 1.25 of sintered ones? or am talking tosh there?

I always thought that the later cast/sintered (whatever) one were better. I have broken one but only when a spring bound.

Anton - 1.5's with the AGSP, you're missing a whole heap of fun without them!

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!

very close to 1.3:1 with the old pressed steel ones (it depends a bit if you have the wide or circular pad). the sintered ones are more like 1.26:1 and the S ones 1.25:1.
