My Clio is in need of new pads now and I was wondering what yous guys would use in your when-the-mini-breaks-down-back-up-car if your looking a "fast road" (although maybe not disc chewing, track day) pad? I can't get Ferodo DS 500s easily but are they worth hunting down? What about Mintex Xtreme? I am avoiding anything from EBC (although every man and his dog sells them) and I can't get hold of M1144s for the Clio (I have them in the mini and they're great). What about Tarox and other brands? I guess my problem is I don't know whats out there and what's good or not and I know a lot of yous guys like your track days! Thanks for your help.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

when i WAS a 182 owner, i used to read on cliosport.net

im not overly keen on the site as, in my opinion it seemed to be a site where they only liked what was fashionable, or to lick someones ass, however they all raved about the ferodos

Ah yes Cliosport net. I lurk about there sometimes but I haven't joined yet as that would be commiting forum adultery on TM. I may have to join then, I hope you all can forgive me!

Ah yes it's critical that I don't start doing silly things to the Clio. I was looking at brembo HC discs, braded hoses and nice DS2500 pads but NO! Money must go on the Mini. I will get some Ferodos or standard pads from Renault for now. Still they are £40! Pagid blues are £141!
