nearing completion of my car now but one problem i have is the front suspension, its too high!

it was all stripped down and the cones replaced with some cones from the front of a late low miles car and a set of hi los, this was done with the car being a bare shell so i thought it would settle down with the engine in, it did a little, but the hi los are on max drop and there is still space to get 4 fingers between the tyre and arch, and thats with 7 x 13 wheels!

please help cos it looks ridiculous, the backs nice and low and the fronts up in the air dragster stylee!

Are the Donuts located in the subframe properly, and the hi-lo's located properly in the donuts?

I remember that when i set the hilos full out after installing them to set them up, and going down the road. The garage that did them for me said they would settle. Hahah no traction and could hardly see over the bonnet. They needed alot of tuning, but even just half screwed in my car is sat on its arse, so i think theres a problem if yours is still high when fully screwed in.

when i fitted my hilos i lowered it and it looked real good, but after a couple of days driving the wheels were scrubbing the arches.
just drive it around and it should settle after a little while

if it dosnt settle overnight start again,as dave said make sure everything is located correctly,
set it at standard ride height let it settle then adjust a bit at a time till its ok.

pretty sure its all located correct, am going to strip it down and start again just to make sure! cant drive it round yet as its not finished but im sure it should be lower than what it is now even without settling!

just a thought, there is no difference between the front and rear hi los is there?? im using the ?50odd quid mini speed ones, i.e the ones everyone else sells!

if the rubber cones are reasonably new they might run higher anyway cos they havent degraded or softened but i would have thought on max drop i would be ok.
i got my hilos from huddersfield mini spares and they were identical front and rrear but the rears had an extension bar which had the knuckle attached and slotted into the base
