hi


the only thing that is stoping me from pulling the engine out is the gearlinkage pin.

what one do i need to remove? is it the one goes stright up or is it the one that goes across??

hope that makes snece??

You want to remove the pin which goes accross, just use a hammer and punch.

put the car in reverse gear to make it easier to get the pin out.

Ive always removed the one that joins the collar too the 'box, as its easier to get a punch onto. *wink*

Yes both will come out with a hammer and drift, but I always take out the 'box-side' one.

hopfully i can post a pic up later of one engine on the floor ready for de-greasing! the first time iv done it on my own. well ill get my dad to whinch it out with the digger! lol

all i need now is my dad and his digger! lol

was a bitch to get out. i ended up using a modifyed 4" nail! lol as the drifts i found were to narrow and kept going in to the pin and making it tighter in the hole (if that makes sence?)

maybe later tonight or tomorow depending on weather it will be out. then ill have to get the 998 out the other one and plonk the 1300 in it! all good fun!
