Release bearing!

Hi, i took off the clutch cover from my newer mini today and discovered something strange!

This is all thats behind the clutch cover, there doesnt seem to be a release bearing or am i missing something obvious?





This is the assembly itself, pretty sure its verto, or at least i thought it was!:



This is the release bearing i wanted to use with my other clutch cover, as i cant seem to get the clutch arm out of the cover i took off the car as the previous person had somehow mutilated it!:



After ive cleaned up the release bearing and inserted it into my verto clutch cover again will i be able to use it with this clutch/fly assembly? Im not really sure how the release bearing works so i just wanted to make sure it would be ok before i put it all back together!
