I thought I 'd pop a couple of pics of the gold car up as its complete now after a good few months on axle stands! just need to corner weight it/ 4 wheel alignment and get it on the rollers next Friday, lots of reasons why I'm running later than usual this year but it's in one piece now.

mini13- the 4:1 is sitting on my wall - I need to see what the 4:2:1 will do for torque on the race cams, the 4:1 produced the beans but the torque/power curve was sensitive to the tuned length of the primaries - went through a "resonance" every 1000rpm or so, you couldn't feel it but I'd like to get it smoother and higher! - so will see how the 4:2:1 handles the gas from the big boy!

lol! yes the gold theme is quite funny! the bodywork on the car has been like this for exactly 10 years now without any repaint- so its by no means mint - reasonably tidy but with a few battle scars! - if I had the time I'd do what Nic has with his red car and strip it back again and tidy/repaint, but I don't have the time and all it has to do at the end of the day is look good and go fast! thanks guys - the colour choice is a taste thing - which probably means I have little! It's a 70's/80's shade of VW gold rather than the BL blends
