my rear subframe has become a real pain!!!!

when taking the subframe off the bolts snapped off leaving part of them in the car after tapping these out i thought that putting it back on would be fine. However when putting the the bolts back in and doing them up FT one has again decided to snap but this time in the hole not leaving anything to grab hold of! i have tryed drilling it out and then was going to retap it problem solved, but the captive nut behind the seal has pulled away so i am left with no bolt in the seal. whats the best way to go do i leave it and just have the one bolt one side or start hacking the car about to get a nut on the other side?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

sill/healboard off and new metal/nuts i think *smiley* not the best news. You could just remove enough so you can get at the back i guess.

its a job ive got to do soon *frown*

I had to replace my rear sub last year, and chose to cut open the inside, like others have said, there?s just enough room! Then just do your best to tidy the gapping holes back up!

Get yourself an imperial thread repair kit from http://www.namrick.co.uk/browse.asp?PCID=28 works a treat and very easy.
